Free and Unique Things to Do in London
London England is a place full of things to do and surprised me with how much there is to do for free. So grab a cup of tea and put down Harry Potter and read ahead for my suggestions next time you find yourself in lively London.
Take a trip to God's Own Junkyard, a psychedelic treasure trove of colorful neon lights that's a feast for your eyes and camera roll. Open on the weekends and free entry!

Explore the city on foot and try to find local street art. There is a lot to see, but a good place to start is around Shoreditch. Brick Lane is another great spot where you can find original Banksy art.

Pop over to Portabello Road and find yourself immersed into the one of the world's largest antique marketplaces. Spend some time looking for buried treasure and admiring all the unique items for sale. Go on a Saturday when the market offers all of its wares.

Visit Leadenhall Market and see where the Harry Potter Film Franchise found inspiration for Diagon Alley and The Leaky Cauldron. This covered markets boasts numerous stalls if you want to shop until you drop but if you just want to walk around and take in all the beautiful architecture, that's perfectly okay too.

This one is probably the most obvious and not the most original, but it's unique to London and an absolute must! Snap a picture with an iconic British Telephone Booth!

Stroll through Fortnum & Mason Department Store and if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth visit The Parlor and grab yourself an inexpensive treat. Take it to go and stroll down Piccadilly Lane!

Drop by the Royal Opera House for free lunchtime performances. The schedule changes regularly, so make sure to check the website before you go!
Pay a visit to House of MinaLina and get your Harry Potter fix. Bursting at the seams with magic and memorabilia, this incredible shop could even transform any non-believing Muggle into a spell casting Wizard in no time. Open daily from 11AM-6PM.

Have a picnic lunch in a floating garden. Located in Paddington Basin, this cute little park, aptly named Floating Pocket Park, is a great place to sit for a while, and enjoy the flowers, birds and people watching.

Find Neal's Yard and be rewarded with colorful buildings, cute shops and delicious food options. If you're full, come here anyways just to get a look at the beautiful courtyard.
